Does the current of a power supply have to match a guitar effect pedal?

Say I had a power bank with 500mA sockets and connected it to an effects pedal rated at 100mA, would this damage/affect the pedal? Would I get extra noise or anything? thanks

Maybe a little 'hum' but nothing thats going to be dominate.
