The Benefits Of Joining Bass Fishing Clubs
There are many bass fishing clubs available for the avid bass fishermen. Some people like to fish for something to eat. Others like to fish for sport and throw back what they catch. Bass fishing is considered a sport because of the knowledge required to be successful at it. Being a fisherman takes skill, determination, patience, and some degree of strength. Bass, sometimes called sun fish, can be found in almost every fresh water lake and river in the United States.
These clubs are not just for male fishermen, but there are clubs dedicated solely to younger people and women. There are clubs on a national level, state level and some on a very localized level. Some are specialized for a certain type of bass fishing, such as largemouth bass and smallmouth bass, while others cover the sport and the skill. Being a club member is also a great way for avid bass anglers to find out about joining a bass tournament. All clubs have benefits for those who do decide to join up and no two clubs are the same. There are so many available in almost every state in the country that it would be difficult for a bass fishing enthusiast to not find a bass fishing club to join.
Before you join a club, you should look into it to see whether it meets your needs and expectations. If you just want to join up with other small time fishermen who simply bass fish for fun, then you will want one of the local free clubs that are so easy to find. However, if you wish to meet other serious, and sometimes professional bass fishermen, then look into one of the competitive clubs. You will need to pay some annual dues to professional bass fishing clubs and there is often an application process.
You may also want to consider the size of the bass fishing clubs that you are looking into. The new fisherman who is joining for the purpose of learning, may want to find a smaller club where he can get some one-on-one teaching. Just be sure that the leaders of the club are qualified to be teaching bass fishing and willing to spend the necessary time with you. The competitive bass fisherman may want to join a larger club, as the opportunities for being involved in bigger competitions will be much greater.

Question about the ORIGINAL tv show "BattleStar Galactica."?
NOT that cra- remake from a few years back where every one stands around and argues with each other. But the original Battle Star Galactica. At the end of the final season; The 12 colonies found the 13th colony - earth. The people built a space ship that could easily defeat the Cylons. And then - nothing! No next season. No future stories, nothing. Any one knows what was to happen with the next season; if there was a next-season?
PS Were you fortunate to see the original 2-hour tv show - when they brought it to the theaters? They installed speakers that must have been 10 feet high at the front of the theater. Each outer space scene, you, and the theater - shook from the bass. Great movie!
Though the show did well, ratings wise, after having barely survived a lawsuit by bastard George Lucas (who was starting his tradition of suing anyone he figured was infringing on his Star Wars franchise), the cost of the suit, not to mention the limited FX caused the network to cancel the show just as they were approaching our solar system & picking up old tv transmissions from decades before, but that were just approaching that area of outer space.
Two or so years after the original series ended, it was relaunched at "Galactica: 1980" whereby the plot was now that the fleet had arrived well within the solar system, but were keeping out of the range of Earth's space tracking tech. It was feared by Adama (who was still alive while all the other characters were inexplicably missing) that if the still-pursuing Cylons found the fleet, they would also find Earth & finish off the last humans. So the new series would concentrate on how to go about revealing the fleet to the Earthlings without endangering either them or the fleet.
As it turned out a small Cylon ship did make it to Earth to pursue the new series' main characters, and one of these Cylons was exactly like the 'human' Cylons in the 'reimagined' series: appearing human but actually Cylon at their core. The only original BSG character whose fate was revealed was that of Starbuck, and that was at the season's end. The others i.e. Apollo, Athena, etc. were never mentioned.
Richard Hatch, who played Apollo in the original series but refused to appear in the relaunch, had plans of his own to launch a 2nd 'relaunch', even as recently as during the airing of the 'reimagined' series, but it never took off & he ended up with a recurring role on the 'new' BSG.
And, yep, I remember seeing the pilot in the theaters ("In Sen-surround Sound!") back in '78.
About the only diff. between it and the version that aired on TV was that Baltar was executed by the Cylons at the end of the movie, whereas in the TV pilot the Cylon who cut him down with his sword was stopped by the Imperious Leader, who decided it best to let Baltar live yet be chapperoned by Lucifer, the Cylon 'administrative' robot.
